Maddie is adjusting pretty well. The last 2 days she has investigated the back yard and she found a spot to sunbathe. We had her in the truck a couple of times to check it out, and I’m afraid she has called dibs on the passenger seat, maybe I can convince her to share it with me.
Maddie doesn’t seem to show favorites with us, she will sit with either of us in our recliners. She has also found Nellie's favorite spot on the couch, and even looks out the window like she did.
Today is the big day, we will take Maddie on her first road trip around 3 pm. We will be going to Pennsylvania and I’m hoping for a little snow somewhere to see how she likes it.
MADDIE'S TRAVELS

This is Seven Pillars on the old Frances Sloccum Trail, 3 miles east of Peru. For the tribe of Miami Indians that inhabited the Mississinewa River Valley, Seven Pillars was more than a landmark of natural beauty. It was a "gateway to the other world". Here, the Tribal Council would meet within the grotto-like alcoves feeling that their ancestors would be present to help guide them with their wisdom. It was also where criminal proceedings were held, and where those found guilty of the most grievous crimes against the tribe would be beheaded.
